Greetings Families and Friends
of the George Washington Carver Alumni Association (GWCAA)

We need your help. Over the past 48 years the Alumni has been shaping the future by raising money for scholarships for our youth. As proud Carver Hawks we are calling upon you again. Your support is necessary in leaving a permanent landmark and memorial to
Dr. George Washington Carver at the site of George Washington Carver Regional High School,
re-named Carver-Piedmont Agricultural Institute, located in Culpeper County, Virginia.

Let us honor his legacy, innovations and achievements through your financial giving towards a historical brick monument engraved with the names of GWCAA teachers, classmates and staff, a library, the scholarship fund and a bust of Dr. George Washington Carver.

Become part of making history by purchasing a personalized engraved brick that will be installed at the historical landmark. Demonstrate your love and admiration for this great African American scientist and inventor who made significant contributions to America and the entire world.
African American monuments have vital importance in shaping the minds of future generations. We are confident that you will generously support this worthwhile endeavor.

Enclosed are prices for engraved bricks; however, all donations are welcomed and needed in getting the entire project accomplished. The fundraising is scheduled to end by December 31, 2017 in order to unveil the monument on Dr. Carver’s birthday next year, July 12, 2018.

Please make checks payable to GWCAA and mail in the enclosed self-addressed envelope.
George Washington Carver Alumni Association is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization.
Donations are tax deductible. All proceeds will go towards this project.

Thanking you in advance,

Les Daniel

             CARVER HAWKS

There is much to be done; there is much that can be done.

One person of integrity can make a difference.

Every act of compassion makes a difference.

Together we can create a better Alumni.

Therefore my challenge to each of you is that you

ask yourself what you can do to make a difference

and take that action, no matter how large or small.

One of the greatest feeling in the world is knowing

that we as individuals can make a difference.

If we all stand together, we can make a difference in the Alumni.

You don't have to be smart, rich, beautiful or perfect.

You just have to care enough and do something.

Each one of us can make a difference.

Together we make changes.

People ask the difference between a leader and a boss.

The Leader leads and the Boss drives.

I'm neither, just GWCAA Founding Director & Historian

Carver Forever,

Les Daniel
